Agenda
So, how do we go about making Project Eddy effective?
It's certainly a tall order! But it's also better to try something, anything, rather than nothing. If we save just one pet's life or prevent one from being seriously ill, then it's worth it.
We feel that the Project can be split into five parts:
1. Collecting information on products containing xylitol. ("INFORMATION")
2. Educating pet owners, pet lovers and those who work with animals. ("EDUCATION")
3. Requesting manufacturers to improve the labelling on their products. ("MANUFACTURERS")
4. Requesting retailers to display prominent warnings on their shop shelves. ("RETAILERS")
5. Provide education ancillary organisations and websites linked to the use of xylitol (such as slimming clubs) so that they may warn their members. ("OTHERS")
We are considering a government petition too... one of those online ones. Thoughts anyone?
There is a separate page beneath this Campaign tab for each of these, containing information and templates.
Project Eddy is requesting your help with all of this and hopes that this site will be the hub. Communication is key with this project!
We want to publish on here all responses - both positive and negative - from manufacturers, retailers and websites.
Spreadsheets will be kept in order to avoid duplication of efforts.
WITHIN ONE DAY, PROJECT EDDY HAD TWO SUCCESSES! (See the Achievements page.)
